THE TOWN’S newest festival was launched at Wexford Racecourse recently when details were announced of the Wexford Military Show which will be held later this month.
Previously the Duncannon Military Show, the recent closure of Duncannon Fort has seen the festival move locations and change its name.
Organised by Joe O’Toole, John Michael Murphy, David Lloyd and Declan Reck, the festival will invite people to travel back in time to met soldiers, warriors and people from Celtic, Roman, Medieval, Viking and other civilisations.
There will be a focus on World War I and World War II history as well as fun activities including: Hundarian Horseback Archery, Target Archery, Battle Re-enactments, original World War II military vehicles, weapons, models, airsoft displays, and an early Irish Celtic Chariot.
There will also be stalls selling food and drink and much more.
The event takes place on May 30 and 31 at Wexford Racecourse.
