Scene of an armed robbery at Enniscorthy this morning.

An armed robbery has taken place at the Gala Express Store at Slaney Place, Enniscorthy.

It is understood that a male armed with a knife entered the store around 11.30 today and fled with the contents of the till.

Staff were frightened but uninjured in the attack.

Gardaí are investigating the crime and are asking anybody who may have seen any suspicious activity in the area to contact Enniscorthy Garda Station on 053 9242580.
