A female pensioner, in her early 70s, has died in a road traffic collision after the car she was travelling in collided with a ditch.

The incident happened in Knockmore, Caim, about four miles from Enniscorthy, at around 9.45 a.m. this morning.

The woman was the only occupant of the car and no others were injured.
