The first point-to-point action in the south-east for the new 2015-’16 season gets under way at Fairwood, Tinahely, with a six-race card run under the auspices of the Shillelagh & District Foxhounds.

Seventy-six entries have been received, the track is in great condition, and the first race gets under way at 1 o’clock.

All the top trainers have entries, including Colin Bowe, Sean Doyle, ‘Shark’ Hanlon, Adrian Maguire, John Berry, and a strong contingent from Colin McKeever’s stables in Northern Ireland.
