The survivors of the Carrickmines fire have moved into an emergency accommodation at a site in south Co Dublin.

The 15 people who survived the blaze on the Glenamuck Road two weeks ago, have moved into five prefabricated homes on the nearby Ballyogan Road.

The new halting site has been set up at a car park on council land.

It is reported that water services and other facilities will be put in place at the new site in the coming weeks.

A spokesperson for DĂșn laoghaire-Rathdown County Council said: "The new site is not ideal in that it has not got full access to all the basic services unlike the Rockville Drive site."
