A search will resume this morning for a 19-year-old man missing off the coast of Clare.

The alarm was raised at about 11.15am yesterday, but it is understood the man from the Quilty area has been missing since Sunday night.

It is believed he may have gone into the water off Spanish Point.

It is understood that some personal property belonging to the man was discovered near the sea at Spanish Point, where the search is now concentrated.

Shannon Rescue 115, Kilkee and Doolin coastguard units will all renew their search today.
