A 15-year-old boy has been arrested after a suspected explosive device was found in a house in west Dublin.
The discovery was made in a house in Corduff Gardens in Blanchardstown at around 7.20pm last night.
The house and others in the surrounding area were evacuated so an army bomb disposal unit could attend the scene and examine the device.

Following an inspection by the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team, the site was declared safe shortly before 9.30pm. Residents were allowed back into their houses shortly afterwards.
A 15-year-old boy has been arrested in relation to the incident. It is believed that the device was not intended for use in the house in which it was discovered.
The Defence Forces is expected to carry out a full examination on the device to determine if it is viable or not.
