The Green Party wants to see information about NAMA sales being made publicly available.
The party has sent a letter to the Finance Minister Michael Noonan asking him to include the provision in the legislation governing the National Asset Management Agency.
The Greens have said the public interest should come before developers' rights to privacy.
Green Party Leader Eamon Ryan, has said there needs to be more transparency around NAMA's transactions
“Rather than what we have at the moment which is all sorts of allegations, leaked information, people swapping half inuendos, half stories here there and everywhere,” Mr Ryan said.
“That doesn’t do anyone justice. I think it is much better to have a transparent clear and fair process and the amendment that we are proposing would deliver that at no cost and with real clarity and we think that’s why it makes sense.”
