The Tanaiste has said it is important that politicians learn from the findings of the Banking Inquiry report.
The final report is due to be published later this afternoon.
It is expected that the main criticism will be aimed at the European Central Bank for saddling debt on the Irish people.
Joan Burton has said it is historically important to have the findings of the Banking Inquiry - and to ensure nothing like the crisis ever happens again: "I think what is important is that we learn some lessons from it and that we guard against an event like that ever happening again.
“The consequences of the bank collapse and sometimes I think people talk about the money side, the important side is the human side, 330,000 people lost their jobs, in the three years after the bank guarantee.”
