A 20-year-old man has been formally charged by gardai in connection with the mugging of three boys and a young man in Limerick last Monday morning.
Clive Keogh, of Ballyclough Avenue, Ballinacurra Weston, Limerick, was arrested and charged this morning with three counts of robbery, and one count of attempted robbery.
He is charged with robbing a 13-year-old boy of a black Sony Xperia M2 Aqua mobile phone worth €250 at Athlunkard Street, Limerick, on January 25 last.
He is also charged with robbery of a 15-year-old boy of a iPhone 4 worth €300 at Canal Bank, Lee Estate, Limerick on the same date, and with the attempted robbery of another 15-year old boy at Athlunkard Street, Limerick, also on January 25 last.
Mr Keogh is further charged with robbing an 18-year-old man of a Galaxy 3 mobile phone worth €300, also on January 25 last, at Athlunkard Street, Limerick.
The accused has been brought before Limerick District Court by gardai.
A bail application is expected to be heard in court this afternoon.
