A body has been discovered by local divers searching for a man in his 50's, missing since his boat capsized yesterday off the Kerry coast.

The Coast Guard has confirmed that the search which resumed this morning in Kenmare Bay, has been stood down.

Two men were on the boat when it overturned yesterday afternoon, but one was rescued after swimming ashore to a nearby island.

It is understood the missing man was a father of three and is believed to be in his 50's.

Castletownbere lifeboat, the Irish Coast Guard helicopter and Kerry Fire Service are involved in the search.
