Speculation is mounting that Toaiseach Enda Kenny will call an election tomorrow after a Ministers meeting was rescheduled.
The Fine Gael Ministers meeting, which normally happens pre-Cabinet on Tuesday, has been moved to tonight at 7pm.
President Michael D Higgins has also left his diary completely free tomorrow and Wednesday, further fueling speculation that the election date will be made public tomorrow.
In order to call an election Mr Kenny must go to Áras an Uachtaráin to have the Dáil dissolved.
As far back as October, Mr Kenny had said the election would be held in "early spring".
It has been tipped that Thursday, February 25, will be chosen as polling day.
