PEOPLE ACROSS the district who have been victims of crime may have the opportunity to be reunited with their stolen possessions tomorrow (Wednesday) as Enniscorthy Garda Station hosts a Regional Property Recovered Day.
Members of the public are invited to attend Enniscorthy Garda Station from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. to view catalogues and a PowerPoint presentation detailing items of property which have come into possession of An Garda Síochána over the last number of years in the South East Region.
A spokesperson for Enniscorthy Gardaí said that the property may have been recovered from right across the region including Wexford, Waterford, Kilkenny, Carlow and Tipperary.
While items recovered may also be viewed online at www.garda.ie and accessed from the “Property in Garda Possession” tab, Sgt Jarlath Duffy of Enniscorthy Garda Station said that the catalogue in the station will be far greater and people will have the opportunity to ask any questions they may have.
“Hopefully we can reunite some of these items with their rightful owners,” Sgt Duffy said. “The local Crime Prevention Officer and Victim Service Office in Wexford will also be in attendance and in a position to provide appropriate crime prevention advice and offer public assistance as required.”
The event will take place between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. and all are welcome.
