Alan Kelly says that Joan Burton is ‘absolutely’ his boss and in charge of the Labour party.

It comes after claims from Kelly earlier in the week that he was his own boss.

In an interview with the Irish Independent Mr Kelly said "Ah sure in politics you are your own boss."

Speaking at Labour’s election campaign Joan Burton said that Kelly is a "very obedient employee".

And Minister Alan Kelly was asked if Joan was the boss: “Absolutely, Joan is definitely the boss of the Labour party, definitely.”
