Kenneth O’Brien has been laid to rest after his funeral in Dublin earlier.
Mourners were urged to remember the 33-year-old’s life, rather than the manner of his death.
A murder investigation is ongoing, following the discovery of his remains almost three weeks ago.
Hundreds of mourners gathered at St Matthew’s church in Ballyfermot this morning, to pay tribute to Kenneth O’Brien.
Chief mourners included his partner Eimear and young son Charlie, as well as his parents Susan and Gerry.

A letter on Gerry’s behalf was read by Father Joe McDonald, in which he thanked the community for their unwavering support since Kenneth disappeared.
The remains of Mr O’Brien were discovered at separate locations in Co. Kildare some two weeks ago, and a garda investigation continues into the murder.
Fr McDonald said the "cruel manner" of his death "offends God".
Mr O’Brien was laid to rest at Newlands Cross Cemetary in Dublin.
