Ah Superbowl Sunday - the annual day when thousands of people around the world pretend to know and care about American football.

Genuine fans grit their teeth while bandwagon-jumpers ask inane questions and wait for the halftime show.

There’s always a few random appearances of well-known faces from other sports - last night Ireland football manager Martin O’Neill popped up in the BBC studio.

So far, so normal - but then he revealed assistant manager Roy Keane was there with him.

People struggled, really struggled, with the idea that the managerial pair head off on holiday together.

There was lots of speculation as to what Keano would make of the glitz and glamour of the halftime show.

Many feared for the innocents in the stadium who didn’t realise that Roy Keane was walking amongst them.

But most got a warm fuzzy feeling at the thoughts of the Republic of Ireland management team enjoying a good bromance.
