€80,000 worth of herbal cannabis has been found at Portlaoise Mail Centre.

4 kilos of the drug was found when a sniffer dog, Stella, reacted to a parcel.

It had been being sent from south-east Africa to an address in Dublin city.

The Revenue has said investigations are on-going.
