Three men have been arrested in connection with a shooting in Limerick last year.

A 55-year-old man was shot a number of times as he parked his car in the grounds of the University of Limerick at around 6.35am on June 29.

Two men in their 30s and one man in his 50s were detained in Limerick earlier.

Nine people have been arrested so far in connection with the incident.
