Gardaí have arrested a man after drugs worth €20,000 were seized in Cork City.

The man in his 40s was arrested when 10,000 Alprazolam tablets worth €20,000 were seized in a planned search.

He is currently being held at Anglesea Street Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice Drug Trafficking Act.

Investigations are ongoing.
