Police in the north are appealing for information following an aggravated burglary in west Belfast last night.

At around 8pm, four masked men carrying hammers forced their way into a house in the Moyard Parade area.

They threatened the female occupant and caused damage to the bathroom and kitchen, as well as smashing a number of windows.

The woman in her 30s was not injured, but was shaken by her ordeal.

Another woman and a three-year-old boy who were also in the house at the time were unhurt.
