McGregor was due to fight champion Rafael dos Anjos for the lightweight title.
But reports today suggest dos Anjos has injured his foot in training and will not be able to participate in the Las Vegas fight.
According mmafighting.com, dos Anjos suffered a broken foot late last week, forcing him to pull out of the lightweight title fight against McGregor.
The UFC is believed to be working on finding a replacement to fight McGregor on less than two weeks' notice, but nothing has been finalised yet.
If true it will be a case of history repeating for McGregor, who was also forced to wait for his chance to fight Jose Aldo for the featherweight title in 2015.
The UFC are yet to confirm that the fight is off, but this tweet from John Kavanagh suggests that bad news is on the way.
