Hundreds of die-hard Father Ted fans will descend on the Aran Island of Inishmore today for Tedfest, a festival dedicated to the cult TV series.

Started in 2007, Tedfest has sold out every year since with capacity limited to the 300 tourist beds on the island.

The annual celebration will include "clerics come dancing"and a DJ dressed as Fr Fintan Stack.

This year's festival runs from February 25-28.
