A 28 year-old man has died following a shooting in Belfast.

It happened in the Walmer Street area of the city - just before 10.45pm last night - when it's understood up to four men forced their way into a house and shot the man.

He was taken to hospital where he later died.

Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.
