With 50% of the boxes opened Fianna Fáil’s James Browne has gone to the top of the poll with his running mate Malcolm Byrne also well placed. Fine Gael’s Michael D’Arcy and Paul Kehoe have polled well. Sinn Fein’s Johnny Mythen is doing very well.

The quota is unknown at this point, but it is believed that nobody will be elected on the first count.
