It has just been confirmed there was a small fire at a children's detention centre near Lusk in Dublin yesterday.

The manager of the Oberstown Campus has said a minor blaze took place in a living area of the unit.

No significant damage was done and no injuries of concern were sustained by staff or young people.

As is normal in these cases the emergency services were notified.
