There is no sign of an end to the overcrowding crisis in hospitals.

The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation have said there are 544 patients waiting for admission today.

391 of these are on trolleys.

University Hospital Limerick and St Vincent's University Hospital in Dublin have the highest numbers waiting for a bed, at 49 and 47 respectively.
