There was bad news for Dublin fans today, with reports that they may have to defend their All-Ireland title without Jack McCaffrey.

The wing-back, who was named the 2015 Footballer of the Year, would be a huge loss to Jon Gavin’s side.

22-year-old McCaffrey is considering working abroad for a number of months according to a report in The Herald.

The move could see him miss some if not all of Dublin’s Championship campaign.

It would be the second major loss for the Blues, coming after Rory O’Carroll withdrew from the squad because of a planned move to New Zealand.
