2015 All-Ireland minor-winning football captain Marc O’Connor is one of six high-profile players unavailable for Kerry’s Munster U21 quarter-final clash against Tipperary tomorrow evening (throw-in 7.30pm).

Also ruled out through injury for the visit to Tralee of the reigning Munster champions are Conor Keane, Liam Carey, Shane Ryan, Cormac Coffey and Liam Kearney – the latter four featuring strongly during the 2014 All-Ireland minor winning campaign.

And with Jack O’Connor’s starting XV containing just four members of the team that fell to Cork in last year's Munster U21 semi-final – Brian Ó Beaglaoich, Cathal Ó Lúing, Micheál Burns and Jack Savage, starting berths have been handed to five of last year’s successful minor team - Tom O’Sullivan, Andrew Barry, Gavin White, Brandon Barrett and Brian Ó Seanacháin.

Alan Tynan, a key member of the Tipperary team which fell to Kerry in that minor decider last September, will not feature at Austin Stack Park owing to his involvement with Cistercian College, Roscrea who face Belvedere in the Leinster Senior Cup final on Saturday.

The Cork side to face Clare in Cooraclare, meanwhile, shows just four members of the starting team from last year’s Munster final defeat to Tipperary – the in-form Peter Kelleher, captain Stephen Cronin, Sean White and Sean O’Donoghue.
