Our thoughts are with the victims of this disastrous attempt at half-time entertainment in Miami last night.

The Philadelphia 76ers were taking on the Miami Heat and, as is common in the States, the team mascots were responsible for amusing the crowd during a break in play.

Burnie, the official mascot of the Miami Heat, decided to try a stunt that involved him performing a front flip over a collection of other mascots who were lying down in a row on the court.

Unfortunately Burnie over-estimated his jumping abilities by some distance, and absolutely smashed into the final three mascots in the line.

To add insult to injury he immediately jumped up and celebrated, leaving his fellow mascots rolling around in agony.

Here’s another angle on the carnage.
