The mother of an infant who died in tragic circumstances in Kerry last weekend has thanked people of the community for their support.

Anna Rozycka will return to Poland this weekend for their burial of her 11-month-old baby boy Karol.

Gardaí would like to hear from anyone who was in the area of - Upper High Street in Killarney - on Sunday evening to get in contact.

A man in his thirties - who was found with serious injuries and remains in hospital.

Family friend Damian has said they have been overwhelmed by the level of support: “I can not express in words the gratitude for the support of all of you.

“Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.”
