But not only did they lose to the French side and crash out of European competition, fans also had to watch one of their star players appear more interested in swapping jerseys with the opposition.

Keane’s contempt for Eden Hazard exchanging jerseys with Angel Di Maria at the break is a joy to watch.

“What is going through a player's mindset?” he asked in disgust. “In such a big game, they are thinking about swapping jerseys at half-time?
