He was in the studio watching as Liverpool played United off the pitch in Anfield, taking a 2-0 scoreline into next week’s Europa League second leg.
Ferdinand’s belief is that the current side are simply not good enough and he questioned the club’s decision-making in recent seasons - naming a long list of players who he believes are better than the current starting side.
