There are almost 500 people waiting for hospital beds today.

The daily trolley watch from the INMO shows the hospital with the worst overcrowding is the Midland Regional Hospital in Tullamore, with 50.

There are 38 at University Hospital Limerick and 37 waiting for admission in St Vincent's University Hospital in Dublin.

Of the 493 people nationally waiting for beds, 364 are on trolleys.
