Investigations have been launched into two armed robberies that occurred overnight.

Three men armed with a shotgun entered a store in Duleek in Meath at about 9pm last night and stole cash.

Fifteen minutes later a shop in Droghedea was targeted by a gang of three men armed with a knife and who also took a small amount of money.

Staff in both incidents were threatened - however no one was injured.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Gardaí.
