Former Ireland centre-forward Dave Walsh has passed away at the age of 92.
The Waterford native started his career with Limerick United, before moving to Linfield for a three-year stint coring an amazing 73 goals in one season.
He then joined West Brom at 23-years of age for a fee of £3,500 and scored 100 goals in just 174 games for Albion between 1946 and 1950.
He spent five years with Albion’s rivals Aston Villa making 108 appearances and a further year with Walsall before ending his career at non-league Worcester City.
