Leicester woman Kate Diamond inadvertently drew the ire of internet trolls last night after she made a somewhat embarrassing admission.
With it looking increasingly likely that high-flying Leicester City might actually win the Premier League, Kate ‘fessed up to talking her husband out of his ticket for this season.
Oh dear.
With tongue firmly in cheek, Kate said:”I guess my husband's overriding memory of this historic #LCFC run will be me, back in April, persuading him not to renew his season ticket.
“Tune in on the final day of the season to see if our marriage survives that decision.”
In her defence, Leicester just about did enough to stay in the Premier League last season, finishing six points clear of the drop. No-one could have predicted this miraculous, logic-defying season.
Kate’s admission went viral, with her first tweet retweeted more than 2000 times and unfortunately, although most were amused, some commenters actually took her confession very seriously.

[/raw]@katediamond hopefully he leaves you tbh. Nobody wants a woman who persuades you to not do the things you like/love.

[/raw]@katediamond I'm sorry but that is the most unintentional bitchiest thing you could ever of done. Unforgivable

It seems like Kate has a robust sense of humour though, appearing unfazed by the abuse.
