MK Dons have fined midfielder Samir Carruthers two weeks' wages and suspended him for their next match over his part in an incident at the Cheltenham Festival.
Cheltenham cancelled Wednesday's booking by a group of footballers after pictures published in a national newspaper appeared to show Carruthers and Shrewsbury striker James Collins, currently on loan at Northampton, urinating into a glass and the latter throwing the contents over a balcony.
Both have been disciplined by their clubs and issued apologies.

MK Dons chairman Pete Winkelman said in a statement on the club's official website: "Samir has received a warning, been fined two weeks' wages and handed a suspension by the club, which is inclusive of this Saturday's Sky Bet Championship fixture with Brighton."
Carruthers was involved in a meeting on Wednesday with Winkelman, the club's executive management team and boss Karl Robinson at stadiummk.

And Winkelman said: "I came to the meeting very angry and concerned as we have put huge effort into building a family-friendly reputation at MK Dons. However, it was clear Samir was sincere, contrite and all-encompassing with his apology.
"He has also taken full responsibility for his behaviour and understands the damage he has caused to his own and the club's reputation.
"Obviously, his actions are still unacceptable and, as a result, he has been disciplined."
Carruthers, who played for the Republic of Ireland at both U19 and U21 level, had earlier confirmed he was facing disciplinary action as he apologised for his behaviour.
The 22-year-old told Sky Sports: ''I just want to say I'm sorry to everyone, my family, the club, the chairman, the gaffer.
''I've not been raised to do something like that and I've let everyone down.
''I've let the community down and I've let Milton Keynes down and I have to take the criticism that comes with it.
''I'm meant to be a role model and I have to live by my actions now and I really am hurt by what I've done.
''And I'm really sorry to Cheltenham as well because they let me in and stuff and I obviously embarrassed everyone.''
Meanwhile, a joint statement issued by Shrewsbury and Northampton said: ''Following a joint internal investigation and discussions between both clubs, on-loan striker James Collins has been fined the maximum allowable two weeks' wages and warned of his future conduct.''
Collins, 25, said: ''I cannot apologise enough for my actions and the pictures from my visit to Cheltenham Races yesterday.
''I have completely let myself, my family, the fans, and the two clubs that I represent down and I am sorry to everyone involved.
''My actions are not excusable and whilst the pictures are rather misleading in that there were no people below this balcony and it was only a grassed area there is still no defence to what happened.
''As a footballer I understand and appreciate that we are role models and this has only emphasised the negative stereotype of the modern footballer and for that I am truly sorry and disappointed in myself. It is now something that I will work hard to change."
Northampton chairman Kelvin Thomas added: ''James knows full well of our disappointment in him and fully accepts that his actions have damaged the reputation of the two clubs and football in general."
Cheltenham earlier barred the group of footballers involved from attending day two of the Festival.
Cheltenham Racecourse tweeted on Wednesday:

Bristol City defender Luke Ayling was pictured alongside Carruthers, with his arm around the Dons player at one point.
While there is no suggestion of any wrongdoing from the 24-year-old, the Robins said in a statement: ''We are aware of the disappointing images from the Cheltenham Festival that have been printed in various national newspapers this morning.
''We will be speaking to the players concerned and will take appropriate action where necessary.''
