Judgement on the future of the 1916 Terrace on Moore Street in Dublin will be handed out today.

Political representatives and relatives of the signatories of the 1916 Proclamation will be in attendance.

Number 16 Moore Street is part of a group of buildings within the central terraced block of Moore St and is considered to be the last headquarters of the leaders of the 1916 Rising before their surrender.

Campaigners have claimed the terrace of houses on nearby Moore Street should be preserved as an integral part of our history. The Government wishes to build a commemorative centre on the site to mark the centenary of the 1916 Rising.

In January, protesters barricaded themselves into the buildings earmarked for demolition.

The citizens injunction which has prevented the destruction of the site is in its sixth week.
