Jonathan Walters deservedly picked up the FAI Player of the Year last night, after scoring five goals during the qualifying campaign that booked Ireland a place in the European Championships this summer.

The in-form striker, who scored for his club side Stoke on Saturday, will hope to bring his shooting boots with him to the tournament in France.

One man who is backing him for glory is Republic of Ireland fan Ian Kinsella.

He revealed this excellent flag tribute to the player earlier this month and it is even more fitting now in light of Walters’ award.
