Pity Wisconsin school girl Makenna Kroge.

As if it wasn’t enough that she fell on her face at a school sports day - now a video of the humiliation has gone super-viral.

This clip was actually taken last year, but since her friend Lexi posted it on Twitter this weekend it have been shared tens of thousands of times.

Something about her pre-race nerves, the embarrassment of the fall and her admirable determination to complete the race has struck a chord with people around the world.
