The family of Louise Daniels have released photos of Louise with her husband and sons who drowned in the pier tragedy in Buncrana, Co Donegal on Sunday evening.
Their daughter Rionaghac-Ann, who is four months old, was rescued from the car by a passerby and is said to be doing well in hospital.
A local county councillor says the community in the Donegal seaside town of Buncrana will take a long time to get over the tragic events of Sunday evening.
Five members of the one family died after their car left the pier in Buncrana.
Sean Mc Grotty, his sons Mark and Evan, Mr McGrotty’s partner’s mother Ruth Daniels and Ms Daniels’ daughter Jodie Lee, lost their lives after their car became submerged in water.
The funerals of the family, who are from Derry, will take place on Thursday afternoon.
Fianna Fail Cllr for Donegal County Council Rena Donaghey, who is from Buncrana, says people in the area have been deeply affected by the tragedy: “People were so close to them and were absolutely helpless and there was very little they could do because the car got submerged in the water and it disappeared quite quickly.
“The bystanders who were looking on last night are very badly affected.
“I spoke to a few of them and they couldn’t sleep last night, they are really in shock and it’s going to take an awful long time to get over this and to deal with it.”
