A woman is in a serious condition in hospital following a road accident in Co Donegal.

It happened on the N13 Letterkenny to Derry Road at around 8.30am this morning.

The driver and sole occupant of one of the cars, a 30-year-old woman, was taken to Letterkenny General Hospital with serious injuries.

The driver and sole occupant of the other car, a man in his late 40s, was taken to hospital for treatment on minor injuries.
