Limerick hosted the country’s biggest clean-up today, with over 13,500 men women and children getting out and about the city picking up rubbish.
This is the second year for the Team Limerick Clean-up initiative to be staged and last year’s event attracted over 10,000 volunteers.
Paul O’Connell, being a proud Limerick man, was pictured getting involved in the campaign and took part in the launch at the O’Connell Monument in Limerick city to kick the whole thing off this morning.
The event is sponsored by the JP McManus Benevolent Fund.
