The captain who read Ireland's Proclamation of Independence during yesterday's centenary parade has spoken of his honour to have been chosen for the job.
Captain Peter Kelleher, from Douglas, Cork, had auditioned for the role and said he had practiced considerably before walking out in front of the GPO.

He has been praised for the manner in which he carried himself at the event which was led by President Michael D Higgins and relatives of the 1916 leaders.
Captain Kelleher admits he was a bit nervous, however.
"It was a very very humbling experience and I was very, very proud to be standing there in front of the people and delivering the proclamation," he said.
"I must say I was a little but ... Nervous, I would say, would be the correct word.
"I soaked up the atmosphere and I must say, I really enjoyed the whole experience."
