790 families including over 1,600 children were in emergency accommodation in Dublin from February 22 to 28.
Figures from the Dublin Region Homeless Executive show that 581 families including 1,201 children were in hotel accommodation.
209 families including 415 children were in other homeless accommodation.
Depaul, which campaigns on behalf of the homeless, says it was calling for immediate action on the crisis six months ago, but since then, the number of homeless families has risen by 30% - and the number of homeless children is up by 27%.
