Gardaí are investigating the discharge of a firearm that took place this evening at around 6.15pm.

It is believed that nobody was injured during the incident at the Charlestown Shopping Centre.

Gardaí request that anyone who was in and around the Charlestown Shopping Centre in Finglas or the car park of the food outlets, this evening and who may have seen anything unusual, to contact Finglas Garda Station on 01-6667500, The Garda Confidential Telephone Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
