Ibrahim Halawa's brother Ahmed has been allowed to visit him in prison in Egypt.

It follows concerns raised by the family about his safety, after the authorities would not confirm where he was being held.

Egypt described the publicity about the Dubliner's case as a "media frenzy".

The family is urging the Irish government to take a tougher line with Egypt in relation to the case.
