Gardaí are investigating a shooting incident which happened at about 4.15am this morning.

Two shots were discharged at a house at The Green, Dunboyne Castle, Co Meath.

There were no injuries to any person during this incident.

Damage was caused to the front sitting room window and door.

A dark red or maroon coloured car was seen driving away from the scene at the time of the shooting.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information on the incident or who might have seen any suspicious activity in the area around Dunboyne Castle housing estate in the early hours of this morning to contact Ashbourne Garda Station at 01-8010600, the Garda Confidential line on 1800-666-111 or any Garda station.
