Ireland’s Shane Lowry has topped off his trip to the States by getting married in New York.

The Offaly golfer enjoyed his weekend at the US Masters in Augusta, recording a hole-in-one of the final day. To round out an excellent week Lowry went from there to the Big Apple for his wedding to Wendy Honner and has shared a picture of the happy couple on Twitter.

Lowry and Honner, a nurse from Laois, have been engaged since 2014. She acted as his caddy for the traditional Par-3 contest in Augusta last Wednesday.

The newlyweds will have some time for a honeymoon, with Lowry not due back back in golfing action until early May.
