There were 91 same-sex marriages in 2015, new figures show.

The Central Statistics Office statistics also show people are getting married older – in fact, the average age of brides and grooms last year the highest ever recorded.

The average age of men getting married was 35 while the average bride was 33 years old.

Same-sex marriages became legal in mid-November.

August was the most popular month for weddings with 13.3% of all marriages happening that month.
